Play Football

Your go-to point for playing football at Across the Waves FC: Registration, Fees, Training and More

Terms of Registration at Across the Waves FC

Players must register using the Squadi Platform linked below.

Acceptance of registration is subject to players meeting all of the requirements of membership which includes:

1. Registration of player in Squadi.

2. Payment of full registration fees, or a payment plan organised through Squadi.

3. All players must be a Full Member of The Waves Sports Club (for U/18s, at least one parent must be a member)

4. International clearance if appropriate.

Where ever possible, ATWFC attempts to accept the registration of all players.  In certain circumstances however numbers must be capped to ensure the correct amount of players in each team.  In each instance where this happens players will be registered on a 'first come' basis. ATWFC reserves the right to not register players in teams where the total quota of players is reached.  In this event a player or parent will be notified and any monies paid will be refunded.

It is the policy of ATWFC to attempt to keep players in teams from season to season. ATWFC will also consider requests for players to play together in teams.  Whilst every attempt is made to be guided by these principles, certain circumstances do not allow this and ATWFC reserves the right to allocate players to teams as they see fit.

Enquiries about registration should be addressed to the Club Registrar by email at atwfootballclub@outlook.com

FAQs

Q - When do registrations open for 2024 season?

A - Registrations open on January 2, 2024.

Q - How do I register my child?

A - Registrations can only be done through the new Squadi website.

Q - What are the fees?

A - Fees are different for all age groups that play football in Bundaberg. Current fees can be found in the "Playing Fees" tab.

Q - When will my child train?

A - Coaches of all teams are volunteers. Therefore coaches schedule training days that suit around their work, life and family commitments and can be any day Monday to Thursday usually after 4pm. ATWFC do not schedule days where all age groups train at the same time.

Q- Where do i get playing equipment and uniform?

A - Shorts and socks can be purchased from Intersport Bundaberg, located in Bourbong Street, Bundaberg. A playing shirt is provided (and given back each week) on game day. Shin pads and boots can be purchased from a retailer of your choice but we do recommend seeing the team at Intersport who offer great service and value for money.

Q - Is my child guaranteed to get in a team?

A - ATWFC attempt to ensure that every junior player who registers is allocated to a team. Unfortunately however, due to maximum numbers that can be placed in a team, this is not always possible. Where this occurs we will attempt to advise as soon as possible so that you may attempt to get a game with another club. Preference to allocation in a team is always given to returning ATWFC players before new players are allocated.

Q - What is the process once i have registered my child?

A - Registrations are received throughout January and February and our Junior Registrar allocates players to teams. Our committee then attempts to ensure that we have a coach for each team. Once teams and coaches are sorted, our gear steward will allocate playing equipment to the coach. The coach will then contact all players in the team to organise training days and times.
